Making a Survival Knife I'm a mission this year to test out the theory that in the NorthEast (where I live) you 'need' an axe. I'm testing this

Survival knives are knives designed for survival purposes in a wilderness environment, often within an emergency when the user has lost almost all of his/her main equipment. Armed forces units give some kind of survival knife to pilots in the event their plane may be shot down. Survival knives can be taken for holding, skinning, wood cutting, wooden carving, and other uses. Hunters, hikers, and outdoor sport enthusiasts use survival knives. Some survival knives heavy-bladed and heavy. Other survival knives are lightweight or fold in order to save weight and bulk as part of a larger survival kit. Their functions often include serving as a hunting knife. Features, such as hollow handles that could be used as storage space for fits or similar small items, started out gaining popularity in the 1980s. Custom or semi-custom makers such as Americans Jimmy Lile, Bo Randall, and Chris Reeve tend to be credited with inventing those features.

This video Making a Survival Knife I'm a mission this year to test out the theory that in the NorthEast (where I live) you 'need' an axe. I'm testing this is about survival knives.
But of course survival is not just about blades.  For a wilderness survival scenario of 72 hours to a week your big and heavy survival knife is perfect.  But as soon as you are past that point you eventually will learn that it completely not much use for long term use.
It is also about being organized.  Find other survival accessories here in Banggood
